Our certified organic children's sleepwear label has won the Australian Non-Toxic Awards! Crazy, huh!
Those of you who know of the Awards no doubt respect the way they independently recognise products that are safe, ethical, sustainable and socially responsible.
So in December 2020, we were beyond excited to open an email telling us that Organic Nights had been awarded the GOLD MEDAL and also the EDITOR'S CHOICE in the ‘Children’s Apparel’ category!
We were also awarded the Silver Medal in the ‘Baby’ Category for our baby sleepsuits, and the Bronze Medal in the ‘Muslin/Swaddle’ category for our muslin wraps.
As you can image, we did a little dance! This is a HUGE, absolutely spine-tingling accolade for our start-up label of two years.
We are two sisters who have built our organic and socially conscious business from scratch amidst ‘mum-life’ raising our three young children each with our husbands.
The Awards recognises our hard work and commitment to zero greenwashing.
We can proudly say that we have made the most honest and ethical choice at every step of our business’ creation and still do in our daily work. We aim to provide a greener option for sleepwear that is healthy for (little) people and the planet.
WHAT THE AWARDS AIM TO ACHIEVE
Founder Emily Fletcher explains the reason behind launching the Awards - which fits with our ethos too.
“We all deserve to be using non-toxic products on our children, our bodies and in our homes. By supporting the businesses truly seeking to provide non-toxic excellence, it puts pressure on all companies to reformulate to create safe products too.” Emily Fletcher, My Non-Toxic Tribe
We hope our label inspires other businesses to be greener too, and makes it easy for parents to choose the healthiest and most ethical sleepwear for their children.
WHAT THE JUDGES AND EXPERTS SAY
This is what the judges and experts said about our sleepwear. And can we just say that we are so grateful for these kind words!
“These are the softest kids pjs I have ever felt in my life. I love the pattern and the colours plus they fit the kids well. I love that they are 100% GOTS certified organic cotton including the stitching. Minimal recyclable packaging and a cute little handwritten note. The sleepwear is free from toxic dyes, bleaches, softeners and treatments.”
— Samantha Gilmore
“Silky soft to the touch and cool and breathable for my daughter to sleep in, these kids pajamas are seriously gorgeous. Generously sized, they are just so comfy and they also wash and wear really well. Highly recommended.”
— Emily Fletcher
“I love the designs and prints of this collection: lovely pastel unisex colours and really fun, subtle prints. My 2 yo and 4 yo love wearing their matching palm tree kids pyjamas! The fabric is incredibly soft and best of all easy to wash (for stubborn stains, you can hike up to 60… a rarity for organic cotton). Love the short-sleeved top/ long bottoms combo for the kids PJs. Perfect for Spring!”
— Emma Freeman
SO, THANK YOU...
So, please head on over to the Awards and support the businesses all doing great work in the green space and striving to be socially conscious along the way.
Thank you to Emily and the team at Australian Non-Toxic Awards for the recognition but also for the ride - they must be one of the most positive and respectful teams we have ever worked with!
The biggest thanks goes to you, our customers and supporters for recognising our label and for caring to choose our pyjamas for your little ones. The greatest vote of trust!
